Cross-stitched Super Mario for Super Astro Boy

My wife and I are avid readers of the Craftzine blog (which might explain the recent revival of my felting kit). They pointed us to a Super Mario pattern over at Sprite Stitch back in February. The moment I saw it, I knew this was something we should make for John ZuHone over at "And the Word Became Stardust" because John loves all things Mario. (Traci actually did the stitching. I just cheered her on to the finish line.)

Here's some pictures of him opening his "Easter present". I wish I'd had a video instead so you can hear his gasp and then the big "HA" he gave out when he saw it. (And the ensuing giggles.)
